There are so many police and security personnel on the streets of Lima! outside every bank (and I swear there is at least on every corner here) there is an armed guard or two (yes there are armed, Heather saw guns). They were also riding around the roads on these segways. Looks like fun, eh?
The traffic in town is crazy. Traffic lights and signs are mearly suggestions here, and the number of near misses we have seen for both cars and pedestrians getting hit is astonishing.

The guns are a bit unerving aren't they? I walked and stood by many an AK47 or whatever they call those scary guns in Africa.. I used to hope they were not loaded as it is scary..looks like you guys are having fun..must be tired that is one long day.
